• Cayla Ellis

    Owner & Artistic Director

    Cayla grew up in the Battlefords and started dance at the young age of 3. She competitively trained in jazz, ballet, tap, lyrical, and hip hop at Annette’s School of Dance, under the direction of her mother, Annette Ellis. After graduating she moved to Vancouver and trained for two years with The Source Dance Company under the direction of Joanne Pesusich. Her training continued in London, UK, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Vancouver taking classes and attending conventions. Cayla was honoured to be the President of the University of Victoria Dance Company for two years while attending university. The UVIC Dance Company traveled to Los Angeles and took classes from industry-leading choreographers and dancers. Cayla completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree and is excited to be following in her moms footsteps and stepping into the role as owner and artistic director of Annette’s School of Dance.

  • Lynsey Strus

    Royal Academy of Dance, Registered Teacher

    Miss. Lynsey has been teaching, adjudicating, entering students for exams and creating competitive work for more than 20 years. She has been a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance since 2003 and has entered exams in both graded and vocational levels from Pre Primary to Advanced 2. Miss. Lynsey is also a certified acro instructor and has held teacher certifications in tap and jazz. Miss. Lynsey enjoys sharing her passion for dance with students of all ages and is excited to be a part of the teaching faculty at Annette's.

  • Hanna Mullock

    ADAPT Certified, Module 1 Acrobatic Arts

    Hanna fell in love with dance at the age of 5 while training at Studio One R.P. Dance. She is trained in various styles including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Street. Throughout her training, she was able to dance with The Saskatchewan Dance Project under the direction of Ashley Berrns and Braiden Stevenson, as well as The Abiding Lines Dance Company under the direction of Kara Dubyk. Hanna has travelled all throughout North America getting to work with many of the top choreographers in the world.. Her professional career has taken her to Vancouver training with The Source Dance Company under the direction of Joanne Pesusich and The Professional Semester at Broadway Dance Centre based in New York City. Hanna has also worked for the Royal Caribbean International on board the Majesty of the Seas and has had the opportunity to perform in TV and Film. Hanna is an ADAPT certified teacher specializing in Jazz and Tap and has her Module 1 in Acrobatic Arts. Hanna’s constant want to learn and share her passion of dance with others makes her a sought out dancer and choreographer.

  • Sara-Lee Reimer

    Pre School AcroDance Certified

    Sara grew up dancing and competing at Annette’s School of Dance, training in ballet, jazz, hip hop, and tap. She moved to Saskatoon where she rediscovered her love for dance with the competitive adult tap team at Brenda’s School of Baton and Dance. Sara then participated in North Battleford’s Swinging With The Stars event where she pursued her passion further. Now back in North Battleford, Sara has achieved her certification in Pre School Acro and is working towards completing her Office Administration Certificate by the end of 2024. Sara is thrilled to be teaching young dancers and helping out around the dance studio where she grew up. She could not be more honoured that her dance journey has brought her back to where it all began at Annette’s School of Dance.

  • Margaret Stephen

    Royal Academy of Dance, Registered Teacher

    Margaret received her teaching qualifications through Royal Academy of Dance and is also a Practical Teaching Supervisor with the Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies Program. Margaret is a dedicated teacher who is very proud of her student’s accomplishments. Many students have pursued dance careers and are working nationally/internationally. She believes students learn much more than dance in a dance class. The studio is a place where we learn many life lessons and skills, self-confidence, time management, team building,inter-personal skills, perseverance, self-discipline, respect for others and of course form life-long friendships. Mrs. Stephen is an experienced adjudicator, teacher and award winning choreographer, she has worked extensively throughout western Canada teaching workshops and summer schools and adjudicating such competitions as; Dance Power, Surrey Dance Festival, Alberta Dance Festival, Festival of Friends. Mrs Stephen continues her dance career through teaching classes and workshops, coaching and mentoring.
