Program
Our Competitive Program is for dancers looking for a more committed study of dance. It is within this program that dancers will have the opportunity for solos, duets, trios, and small group pieces. Competition is an exciting time to not only perform, but grow as a dancer, bond with your team, practice good sportsmanship, become inspired by other dancers, so much more! All classes Grade 3/4, Pre-Elementary, Elementary, and Intermediate will attend two competitions throughout the season.
Ballet is the foundation of all dance styles and is mandatory for our competitive dancers taking jazz. Ballet and Jazz classes are required to enroll in lyrical open, and acro. There are no class requirements to take tap, hip hop, but ballet is strongly encouraged.*

Open
Open - Grade 4+
Open is a fun class that lets dancers break out of their shell and showcase their acting skills! Open is similar to musical theatre but without singing. One of Mrs. Ellis’s favourite styles was open as it gives so much freedom for choreographers and dancers to combine multiple dance styles including ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and acro while portraying a specific character.
Creative dances we have done in the past are; The Grinch, Mary Poppins, Matilda, Lion King, Aladin, Hairspray, Toy Store, Cats, and so many more
